Using the Web to Retrieve Your E-Mail

You may retrieve your e-mail using any web browser without having to configure an e-mail software client. This service is ideal for retrieving your e-mail messages when travelling or at other times when you'd just like to send / receive / reply to your e-mail. It allows you to delete individual messages (handy when someone sends you a very large attachment you can't easily download), enter "vacation messages" and change your password or other account information.

Here's how it works:

  1. If your e-mail address ends in "outer-banks.com" go to the following address: [substitute your domain name for "outer-banks" if you are an ECNET virtual domain customer with e-mail services provided by RAI]

    http://mail.outer-banks.com/IClient
OR, if your address ends in "eastcarolina.com" or "eastcarolina.net"
    http://mail.eastcarolina.net/IClient

  2. Enter your e-mail User ID and Password and select "Logon"

You'll be able to view a summary of your messages, read, delete, print, view attachments or send e-mail from your browser. This service is provided without additional charge to all ECNET e-mail customers.
